Don Perkins and Friends
The Food Stamp Ramblers is a newly formed Bluegrass group that combined their musical talents in the fall of 2008 due to a mutual love of traditional bluegrass.
The band is comprised of Donald Perkins, Old-Time Fiddler's Hall of Fame; Fred Warner, multi-instrumentalist and bluegrass enthusiast; Phyllis Perkins Ezero, multi-instrumentalist and Joseph Ezero, long-time musician.
Each member has a history steeped in music:
Donald started playing fiddle at the age of 5 and played his first square dance at the age of 9. His roots are embedded in old-time fiddling and country music and he has entertained, as part of the Perkins Family Band, throughout the northeast. He has taken 1st and 2nd place in fiddle contests throughout New York, Vermont and Canada and was voted into the Old-Time Fiddler's Hall of Fame in 2001. In 2008, Donald had the opportunity of a lifetime to play on stage with the great Bobby Hicks at the Fiddler's Picnic in Osceola, NY. Not only does Donald continue to play with the Perkins Family Band, but over the years he has entertained at bluegrass festivals with the late Fred Pike and the Kennebec Valley Boys from Maine, the Bluegrass Supply Company from Maine, and the late Andy Pawlenko and the Smokey Hollow Boys out of New York. Known near and far for his exceptional style of fiddle playing, Donald can also pick up a guitar, mandolin and electric bass and play each with ease.
Fred is a classically trained pianist but will be the first to say his musical love is playing traditional bluegrass. In addition to vocals, he plays many different instruments and is an accomplished guitar picker. He can also play 5-string banjo, having won several contests, and when he starts picking his expertise shines. Fred had the honor of playing standup bass for Bobby Hicks for seven sets in Osceola, NY in 2008 and has instructed music theory at the Fiddler's Hall of Fame. He holds 38 music copyrights with the US Library of Congress and is a composer member of ASCAP.
Phyllis is also multi-talented. She is Donald's sister and was also brought up in the Perkins Family tradition. Her first stage appearance was singing in the family band at age 5. Piano is her main instrument but she can also play fiddle, guitar and loves to sing. She is really enjoying the twin fiddle work with Donald; sometimes playing the melody line and sometimes the harmony line on the bluegrass and old-time fiddle tunes. Phyllis is especially proud that the Perkins Family was awarded The North Country Heritage Award in 2002. This award, given by the Traditional Arts of Upstate New York (TAUNY), honored the Perkins Family for their mastery of and creative commitment to local traditions/customs and arts and for dedication to community and to the teaching of others.
Joseph, the husband of Phyllis, has been playing music since they first met. He also has entertained with the Perkins Family Band; playing electric bass, filling in on guitar when needed and doing some vocal work. About ten years ago, Joe transitioned to acoustic bass and hasn't put that big fiddle down since. Joe definitely holds the band together with a driving bass beat.
A 3:00 p.m. - The Adirondack Fiddlers
A 4:00 p.m. - Nelson Rock and the Circle of Willis
A 5:00 p.m. - Sara Milonovich & Greg Anderson

Sara Milonovich and Greg Anderson
An exciting duo that combines the talents of two of contemporary music's most gifted musicians.
Sara is an award-winning fiddler, singer, and tunesmith who has been performing various roots, bluegrass, Celtic, and Appalachian music since she was 4 years old. She spent the past few years touring and recording with The Cathie Ryan Band, and previously played with NY Irish-newgrass band The McKrells. She has recorded with numerous artists, and both her fiddle and voice can be heard on the forthcoming Richard Shindell CD, "South of Delia."
Greg is a multi-instrumentalist who co-founded the acclaimed Celtic-fusion group Whirligig. Currently the guitarist with The Eileen Ivers Band, he has also performed and recorded with many diverse international artists, including Susan McKeown, The Klezmatics, Cathie Ryan, and Doctor Nerve, among others.
Playing a vibrant mix of contemporary and traditional songs and tunes from across the musical spectrum, Sara and Greg's music incorporates eclectic flavors from other countries and planets, as well as soulful compositions of their own. They have earned accolades for their fresh interpretations of music from many different genres, and for crisscrossing stylistic boundaries - combining a firm grounding in a wide range of folk forms with a rich palette of modern and world music influences.
Since joining forces in 2004, they have toured throughout the US and Europe. Their debut CD, "Forward In All Directions!," made the Top Ten in the Village Voice 'Pazz & Jop' Critics Poll for 2004.
